Made for Memories

Dress (Rebecca Taylor) | Shoes (Nicole Miller) | Earrings (Forever 21) | Necklace (Dogeared)

It's been one thing after the other and I deeply apologize for being so inconsistent in my posts the past couple weeks! The end of the semester does mean one thing aside from projects and exams - it's formal season! And for you younger girls, prom season :) I attended my fraternity's formal this past weekend and it was a beautiful event - the girls were all dolled up and the guys all dapper in their formal attire. I decided to share some photos of the night with you all so you could get some ideas for what dresses you might like, not only from what I wore but what my friends wore also! I personally went with a beautiful silk Rebecca Taylor number and my strappy gold heels. Because of the ruffles, I kept the jewelry minimal and drew attention up by wearing big crystal studs. Special shout out to my lineage, high school friend and now brother, and a couple of my favorite seniors :) Love you all <3

XOXO,
E ♥

Stripes & Polka Dots

Blazer (H&M - similar here) | Top (Aerie - similar here) | Jeans (American Eagle - similar here) | Shoes (Tory Burch) | Necklace (Forever 21) | Watch (Michael Kors) | Bracelet (Pandora)

Hello again! Sorry for being a bit more MIA again this past week - had quite the busy (and slightly exhausting) second half of the week, but you guys have been on my mind so I'm getting right back on track. I've been in desperate need of a haircut, so this past Friday I decided to spur-of-the-moment chop off all my hair and donate it to Locks of Love :) I've never tried the classic bob look, but I'm still loving it and have no plans of regretting it anytime soon!

Over the weekend I decided to play with some patterns - one of my favorite things to do :) I find patterns fun because finding a good pairing can be tricky so I love the challenge. You all shouldn't be surprised to see some more polka dots on my page, and in the form of cropped lavender denim jeans this time! I remember seeing these jeans online when they first came out at AE and thought they were so adorable. I found them at a pretty good steal and have been dying for spring ever since I purchased them back in November (linked a super similar pair from F21 above). I paired it with a boatneck striped top and a classic blazer from H&M. I was actually quite surprised by the quality and cutting of this blazer - it seems much more high end than its label. You go Glenn Coco (or in this case, unnamed H&M designer)! Let me know what you like pairing your classic black blazer with! Thanks for reading :)

XOXO,
E ♥

P.S. Who else is loving the magnolias in the background??

Paprika & Paisley

Blazer (Unknown) | Top (J. Crew) | Scarf (Urban Outfitters) | Jeans (Zara) | Shoes (Vintage) | Watch (Michael Kors) | Bracelet (Pandora) | Ring (Tiffany&Co., Ariella Collection, Target)

Happy Wednesday! It's finally the middle of the week and I'm halfway through this week's stresses. Some people hate Wednesdays since it seems like the week is dragging and it's only half over - but I like to see it as the glass half full and we're almost there to the weekend. I'm loving the background of today's photos :) This is my favorite time of spring - when I can enjoy the beauty right before the allergies hit. Anyone else sympathize? Today's outfit is perfect for the cool and balmy spring days, when it's warm in the sun and a bit chilly when the wind blows. I think the paprika color of this blazer/coat is pretty unique and it just so happened to pair perfectly with my scarf. Plus, I'm always a sucker for gold buttons and the extra button detail on the back is just adorable. I hope you're all enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery!!

XOXO,
E ♥

Curious GeorgE

Trench Coat (Calvin Klein - old) | Top (Forever 21 - last seen here) | Bottoms (Lily Pulitzer) | Shoes (Latitude Femme) | Belt (Coach)

I'm currently loving the weather here as the flowers start to bloom. It's finally less cold after last week's stint of extremely bipolar weather. I decided to bring out my bright yellow trench coat since it's one of the items in my closet that really screams spring. I've had this coat since high school (not a surprise since that seems to be a regular occurrence), but never wore it much since it's not a piece that's really what's typical for high school and the color can be a bit obnoxious to wear on a regular to college classes. I decided to play around with my wide-leg jeans and went with a classic pop of red in my belt and pumps. When I wore this outfit, someone commented that my outfit reminded them of Ted (the museum employee) from Curious George - hence the post title. I also love this trench for a rainy day to brighten up the gloom. How would you style a bright yellow trench? Let me know in the comments below :)

XOXO,

Tweed

Blazer (Club Monaco - no longer available online) | Top (Theory) | Pants (J. Crew - last seen here and here) | Shoes (Tory Burch) | Bag (Vince Camuto - on sale here in green) | Necklace (Francesca's - last seen here) | Watch (Michael Kors) | Bracelet (Pandora, Stella&Dot) | Earrings (Kate Spade)

Hello my lovelies, and happy Friday! Our short stint of glorious spring, almost summer-like weather has passed so I'm back to my more winter-to-spring looks even though it's already early April. Though this tweed blazer looks quite heavy, it's actually the perfect weight for a day when it's around 60 degrees and you don't feel like carrying another coat. I kept the base of the outfit very simple with my black pixie pants and a collarless white blouse from Theory. I chose a large draped necklace to make the outfit more feminine and tied in the rich tones with my new oxblood shoulder bag from Vince Camuto. I am absolutely in love with this bag because the combination of pony hair with leather and gold hardware is simply beautiful, and hey, every girl wants a pony right? See, dreams do come true! Once again, PETA advocates please don't kill me. Last, I have to talk about the shoes which my feet call heaven. Seriously the most comfortable pair of flats I own! Though most people lean towards the Reva's, I went with the Caroline's because I like to make my feet happy :) Hope you all enjoyed this week of posts, and I'll see you Monday! Have a stylish and beautiful weekend my darlings!

XOXO,
E ♥

...And Fancy Free

Jacket (Macy's) | Top (Madewell - no longer available) | Skirt (Express - old) | Belt (J. Crew) | Shoes (Tory Burch - love these!) | Watch (Michael Kors) | Earrings (Kate Spade) | Bracelet (Pandora, Stella&Dot)

Happy Wednesday! I've been feeling very chipper lately cause of this fabulous weather, it's no wonder spring calls for such bright and fun colors :) I bought this top a few months ago when it was still too cold to wear, and I've seen a similar one from Banana Republic in a cobalt blue but it seems like both that one and the one I have from Madewell are both sold out. For those of you who are fans of The Bachelor, I'm pretty sure Catherine has the blue one from Banana Republic because she was wearing a similar top in one of the episodes :) If you want to dress this outfit down, you can definitely pair it with a pair of white skinnies. But since I've been wearing those pretty often lately, I decided to go with a more playful look and chose a pleated white circle skirt that I've had for ages. If you're afraid of a chill in the morning or evening, a denim jacket is super easy to just throw on. I've also had this jacket for ages, so right now its one of those times to be thankful for my clothes hoarding ways :) But just a tip to keep in mind - certain pieces like denim jackets will forever remain classic items!

I hope you're all enjoying this beautiful weather, and I'll see you tomorrow!

XOXO,
E ♥
