Hi everyone! Happy Thanksgiving!! Hope you are all enjoying some quality time with your family and eating lots of delicious food!! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of all time so I sincerely wish all of you a wonderful day (and of course lots of luck with your Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping!!!). This year for Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for my family and friends, all the blessings I've received this past year, all the people who've contributed to the making of this blog, and for all the love and support from my readers. Though Thanksgiving is a day dedicated to giving thanks, I'm thankful for all these things each and everyday of my life! So from the bottom of my heart, a big thank you to all of you, I truly appreciate it ♡

I've been obsessed with cutout boots and shaggy sweaters lately, so I married the two together to create today's outfit. I'm pretty sure shaggy sweaters are officially better than regular sweaters because one, you can pet it all day (it's so fluffy I'm going to die!), and two it's probably the warmest sweater I own. I am extremely tempted to buy more because I think they're all I want to live in for the winter time. I love this one from Topshop! So glad these sweaters are trending right now because it means I can dress like a bear and no one will judge me, hehe :)

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend, and I'll see you on Monday with a holiday-themed post as we gear up for the merriest month of all! Thanks for reading!

XOXO,
E ♥

The French Hen :: Navy Checkers and A Pink Beret

J.Crew Factory Sweater - sold out, similar here | Uniqlo Gingham Shirt - in red here, or similar here | J.Crew Pants | DV by Dolce Vita Flats - old, similar here | Stella McCartney "Pembridge" Shoulder Bag - in navy here | Rings by Gorjana | Lips: Estee Lauder "Rubellite"

Hi everyone! Sorry for the long-overdue post! Last week was pretty busy for me, and there were some mishaps in the photography for my blog pictures so I had to redo them, which resulted in one less post than usual. I've been on the hunt for this french hen sweater from J.Crew since it debuted in J.Crew stores in 2012 because it was love at first animal sweater sight. I mean come on, a hen wearing a bright pink beret?? That's right up my alley of too adorable to pass by. I love the layered look of sweaters and button downs for the fall (yes, the extreme prepster still lives deep inside of me), so I paired it with my favorite gingham top from Uniqlo. Of course, my fall palette isn't complete without some olive green and a pop of pink (again - but let's be honest...the pink beret pretty much didn't even give me an option to not use my pink Stella bag and to put on some bright berry-pink lipstick).

What's your favorite animal sweater for these cold weather months? Please do share so I can start a zoo in my closet :) Thanks for reading, and I'll be back Thursday with another post - promise!

XOXO,
E ♥

Patterned Sweaters and Pink Pants

Forever 21 Sweater  | J.Crew "Minnie" Pants | J.Crew Pumps - love this pair | Michael Kors "Blair" Watch | Rings: Gorjana - similar here, Forever 21 - similar here, Target, Ariella Collection

Hi everyone, and happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend :) Today's look features this patterned sweater I picked up from Forever 21 a couple days ago. It's quite different from a piece I'd usually wear, but I decided to take the leap of faith and try it out. Luckily, the pink details on the sweater perfectly matched my pink Minnie pants from J.Crew (though there are some discrepancies in the photos. I promise they're not red...! The first and last photo are most true to what the pants look like in real life) last seen styled here. I could see this sweater being paired with a flared out skirt in a brushed gold for a New Years look. I also love how the inside of the sleeves almost appear to have a contrasted tweed pattern when cuffed!
How do you style loud pieces like this one? Let me know in the comments :)

Thanks for reading, and I'll see you Thursday!

Borrowing From the Boys :: Reconstrucuted Tux + Deconstructed Jeans

Rings | Estée Lauder Rubellite Lipstick

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a fabulous week of chilly fall weather :) So I'm not sure if many of you know, but I love the whole "borrowed from the boys" look, and I often find myself drawn to many menswear inspired pieces. Well, today I literally borrowed from the boys with this adorable t-shirt from the boys section at Aéropostale. I literally died when I saw it and had to have it because who doesn't love a shirt with a bow-tie printed on it? I gave it my own feminine twist by adding the bejeweled collar from the sweater I wore in this post last week, but didn't want to lose the tuxedo look so I added a black and gray blazer. And of course, the perfect addition to a borrowed from the boys look is a good pair of ripped up boyfriend jeans accessorized with some girly pumps and a pop of pink to complete the look. Who else is still internally squealing over how cute this t-shirt is? Good thing it comes in extra small :) Thanks for reading!

Chromatically Correct

Aéropostale Moto Sweater c/o - also similar here | Dress via Target - similar here | Latitude Femme Booties (old) - similar here | 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Bag - similar here | Francesca's Necklace - similar here | Aerie Tights - similar here | Tiffany & Co. Rings | Jason Wu for Target Belt - similar here

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a relaxing weekend and enjoyed some time kicking back, relaxing, eating good food, and maybe doing a little shopping (cause I know I did...oops!). Today I'm feeling chromatically correct, pun definitely intended (you can't even begin to understand how clever I felt when I thought of this title), because lately the weather's been a big overcast and extremely windy. To counter the dreary colors, I added my latest favorite heart-print tights because I'm totally a sucker for cutesy pieces like this that I could totally picture Jess (Zooey Deschanel) from New Girl wearing.

I wasn't kidding in my last post when I said I wanted to pick up a few more drapey cardigans. This is my easy, everyday pairing for that dressed up but dressed down look. For cardigans like this, I prefer them a bit over-sized and slouchy, so I super sized up and got this in a large. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this sweater (so warm and soft!), and it's quickly becoming a closet staple since it's so easy to throw on over any outfit. What are your easy "dressed up but dressed down" looks for fall? I'd love to know! Thanks for reading :)

Draped :: Blush + Moto

Theory Cardigan - similar here and here | Top via TJ Maxx - similar here | Aéropostale Coated Jeans c/o - on sale now! | Franco Sarto Ankle Boots (old) - obsessed with these | Vince Camuto Bag - similar here and here | Necklace (handmade via family friend) - similar here | Cole Haan Sunnies | Michael Kors Watch | Rings: Gorjana, Ariella Collection, Kate Spade

Hi everyone! Hope you're all enjoying your week :) Today's pairing might be one of my favorites so far from this fall. I love the contrast between a romantic, draped cardigan in a feminine blush tone paired against some tougher pieces like my coated moto-esque denim and black leather ankle boots. I'm really loving these draped cardigans, and I'm looking to invest in a few more for my fall and winter wardrobe.  They're great for layering under coats and vests as well! I snagged this one at a boutique sample sale along with a couple other pieces I can't wait to share with you all. I've also been getting so much wear out of these coated skinnies, thanks to Aéropostale - still have so many outfit pairings in mind for them! I always find myself reaching for them over my regular black jeans, so much so that sometimes I have to force myself to choose my regular skinnies over this coated pair...!

Thanks for reading, and I hope you all have a beautiful weekend!

Pretty in Pink

J.Crew Sweater - similar here | J.Crew "Minnie" Pants - on sale now! | Aldo "Essi" Pumps | Rebecca Minkoff Bag - similar here | Anne Klein Watch - similar here | Pandora Bracelet | Tiffany & Co. Rings

Hey everyone, and a very happy Monday to you all! Oh, and also happy November! Can't believe how quickly the fall season is passing us by. We had an unseasonably warm Saturday this past weekend, so I decided to celebrate the great weather with some bright pink pants that are very reminiscent of spring and summer. Whenever I wear bright pieces like this, I like to tone it down with a bunch of neutrals while still tying all the hues together. The jeweled details on the collar of this sweater went perfectly with the pink of my pants, and I happily got the chance to break out my silver pumps once again to match the gunmetal details of the beadwork. How do you pair your bright pieces? I'd love to hear your tips and tricks!

Thanks for reading, and I'll see you all on Thursday!
