Repurposed

Hey there! Hope you're having a great week!

This week has been very eventful and a bit hectic, so I apologize for the delay of this post. Due to my busy schedule, I wasn't able to get my outfits done ahead of time, so I snapped these yesterday after my sister's graduation. Since it is graduation season, I thought it'd be appropriate to share what I wore to my own graduation (see last post here), and what I wore to someone else's graduation!

Like I mentioned in my last post, I love florals and light colors for graduation. I prefer the dress route simply because it's just easier, but a maxi skirt (or dress) are great options as well! This dress is actually a skirt that I repurposed into a dress. As a skirt, it's a bit big on me, so it doesn't sit high enough on my waist. Since it is a midi skirt, it falls perfect when pulled higher and worn as a strapless dress. This skirt worked perfectly because there's a good 7-8 inches of fabric before the pleats start, so it begins to flare out right at my natural waist. And since it was made as a skirt, it creates a very subtle high-low effect when worn as a dress. I really loved the fun pink and orange floral print, and it really brightened up the otherwise gloomy day yesterday.

Congratulations to my sister for completing her schooling! Yes, we did graduate the same year but no we are not the same age. She did a six year program to obtain her doctorate degree in pharmacy and graduated with the highest honors! Very, very proud of her :) She doesn't like to brag, but that doesn't stop me from bragging for her! Love you sissy ♡

XOXO,
E ♥
