Basic

Basic. No, not that kind of basic but closet basics.

What qualifies as a closet basic? A quality silk top in any shade of non-spectral, and denim. My preference sways towards the boyfriend variety - the holier the better. But real talk: how many pairs of boyfriend jeans do I own? More than necessary.

I've been really digging the plunging neckline look as of late. Okay, for some this may be conservative in terms of plunging, but work with me. I'm still new to the world of daring necklines. This will be one of the rare moments in life when I thank God for letting me win the Asian genetic lottery - there will never be a point in my life when a shirt or dress looks too promiscuous on me. I'm sure my parents are very proud.

And yes, owning a lot of stackable gold jewelry is most probably the necessary key component to closet basics.

Fun Fact: I purchased these jeans for a whopping $2.00. Yes, two American dollars. I did indeed purchase them from the Aéropostale store, and this is indeed a true life story. Thrifty shopper I am.
