Though it's barely even August yet, I'm already starting to think of fall. Usually around this time or in the upcoming weeks, we begin to see all the stores shuffling their summer clothes to the sale rack and slowly bringing out new displays of their fall collection. Fall is probably my favorite season, and for me it brings back a lot of nostalgia and triggers those jittery feelings you get before the first day of school. The air always has a certain {fall scent} the eve of the first day of school. Do you know what I'm talking about? Even though I'm not going back to school this fall, it still puts a smile on my face as I reminisce and it's not exactly stopping me from doing some "back to school" shopping aka fall clothes shopping.
This look was very much inspired with back to school in mind. For me, staple pieces for a high school or college student are a good pair of jeans and a comfy sweater. It's about staying simple and feeling comfortable all while emulating a stylish vibe. I've been shopping Abercrombie & Fitch since my high school days {back then, everything had to have a moose on it or you were not cool}. One thing that has never changed about A&F after all these years though is their denim. It's comfortable, it's reliable, and it's figure-flattering. Literally - I could do squats in these jeans and I wouldn't mind because they're that comfortable.
I tried on literally every wash in this style {The A&F Alyssa Super Skinny High Rise} and finally settled for this pair because the perfect pair of dark rinse skinny jeans will do you no wrong. Ever. They are understated with no distressing and the seams are navy like the rest of the jean. Best of all, they hug your body without feeling like they're cutting into your skin. Like I said...squats.
