Chasing Summer

Let's give summer one last hurrah.

I start my big girl job this coming Monday so I thought this outfit and post title to be extremely fitting. Throughout college I was always one to be like "I can't wait to graduate, school sucks, work rocks, merh, merh, merh" {Wow Erica, please be more annoying}. Let's be real though, school does suck {no one likes studying don't even pretend} but it's also fantastic because when else in life do you get four years of waking up at 12pm because that's how you chose your class schedule, roughly 5 months of break in total, and lollygagging til the wee hours of morning with friends just because. But alas, life moves on, everyone gets old, and starting a career is inevitable. However, in our hearts I think each one of us will always be chasing summer.

So why did I choose this outfit to be the outfit for my lifetime summer finale? Because girl - ain't nobody gonna let you wear super destroyed cut-off shorts that end right below your behind to work. Like hellooo, scando! It's gonna be like middle school when you get sent to the nurse's office to change because your outfit was too "inappropro" for school, and you're left to choose from the nasty selection of lost and found items {more like lost and let never be found but oops you found it, should've chose a more conservative outfit this morning items}.

I've been vacationing in SoCal every year of my life pretty much since birth because much of my extended family lives here. Many of my friends joke that it's essentially my second home. It's definitely tough to say goodbye to the luxury of summering here with ample amounts of free time, but hey - all good things must come to an end. After all, everyone here is working now too {what I'm trying to say is, I'll have no frandz to play with anyways. Forever alone}. So cheers to 22 years of wonderful memories ♡ I'll be back for you.
