"For what it's worth...it's never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever you want to be. There's no time limit. Start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people who have a different point of view. I hope you live a life that you are proud of, and if you're not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again."
{F. Scott Fitzgerald}

I'm a chronic dreamer. I have high hopes and big ideas for things that could be, and my mind is constantly teeming with burgeoning thoughts of my possible future. Graduating from college my life motto was "Strive High". Everyone has their own definition of what their personal high in life is, but more often than not, complacency kicks in and these highs become lofty dreams that stay just that -- dreams. My biggest fear is waking up one day, ten years from now, nowhere closer than I am today to doing what I am truly passionate about. Will I have lived a life where I found my true potential, lived out my greatest passions, and found success in a job that is not just a job but also love? Complacency is easy -- anyone can become very good at a complacent life. But to achieve greatness and to strive to your highest, it's a daily reminder to ask yourself, "Am I really happy? Time and money and practicality aside, is this really what I want to be doing? If I knew the measured amount of limited time I had left on this earth, would I still wake up tomorrow morning and continue carrying out my every day routine?" If you answered no to any of the above, I encourage you to re-evaluate your life and re-evaluate your core aspirations. Think with your head but follow your heart -- it's never too late to start over no matter how daunting the task may be. Dreams may be born in an instant, but dreams that know success and happiness come with a much more trying and gratifying journey.
