I call this place my home away from home. Not this exact place per se, but the general vicinity of Orange County/LA. I frequent the area at least once or twice a year because my mother spent a good number of years living here before she married my father, and many of my close relatives continue to live here. Though I've seen most of the sights and toured most of the attractions, the place continues to uphold its novelty. Don't get me wrong -- I have a deeply rooted love for New Jersey and New York City and I will forever be an east coast girl, but part of my heart went to California and never came back. It's a star-crossed lovers story waged between my own heart, and I'm still waiting to see which side rises.
