"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."
Growing up, it takes courage to stay different. At the heart of it, I think all of us are uniquely different and all of us have the ability to be standouts. But growing up, a lot of what makes each of us different is made dull by those around us, until much of what sets us apart is pushed away and compartmentalized. Growing up, most of us work to fit in with the crowd rather than stand out from our peers. It isn't until we are older that we realize how important our individuality is, and we begin to dig - to find our truest self again. Because the ones who manage to stay the most individual are the ones who create the greatest genius.
