A special post today and the only one this week in celebration of my birthday! I love birthdays, but the older I've gotten the more I've realized that for me birthdays are about the little joys. When I was a little girl, every year I'd pray for snow on my birthday because snow during the winter was my absolute favorite thing. It brought magic to my birthday, and to this day it still brings a smile to my face. I celebrated my birthday early this year because it falls in the middle of the week but as far as pre-birthday celebrations go, I'd classify this one as the best one yet. I spent the long weekend with some of my favorite people, dining out, drinking wine, getting surprised, and just simply feeling absolutely spoiled and loved. It was low-key in the most perfect way and exactly how I wanted to start off 25 - my year to bloom...beautifully, dangerously, loudly, softly; to just bloom.
