Baubles x Baubles

J.Crew Top | Old Navy Kids Jeans | Rachel by Rachel Roy Shoes | Michael Kors Watch | Pandora; Stella & Dot Bracelets

Hey everyone! Sorry I disappeared for a week - I got sick (again), and the weather hasn't been all that great here lately so its made taking pictures a bit difficult. I was very excited about this outfit when I first put it together because I've been eyeing this top for months now ever since it hit the stores. I absolutely love the jeweled medallion details! It's currently on sale in stores, but be warned it runs pretty large...I'm wearing an XXS and I'm usually a S, sometimes XS, in J.Crew. I love playing with details and a little bit of pattern, so these super dark wash skinnies were the perfect fit with the subtle floral detailing. I actually found them in the kids section at Old Navy for a steal, and they run quite large because I'm wearing a size 12. I highly recommend because they're rather flattering (more flattering than any of Old Navy's regular women's jeans) and ridiculously comfortable!

One last thing, for those of you Instagram addicts (totally guilty) - I'm now on Instagram! I recently posted a few other embellished tops I picked up along with this one from J.Crew and the shoes I'm wear in this post, so check it out and follow me @refined_couture! Thanks :)

XOXO,

  1. Really loving the top Erica! I've been really loving embellished tops, but don't own one myself yet. I was thinking of making one myself, but your embellished tops on Instagram makes me think otherwise. How does the top hold up after washing? I'm assuming you'll need to hand wash it lol

  3. Thanks Christine! I kinda went crazy and bought 3 all from J.Crew, but I'm convincing myself not to buy more since I probably won't get much wear out of them once the trend passes :( You should totally try making one yourself though - that would be awesome and much more special. The sweater's currently in my pile of "need to hand wash" clothes...lol but the jewels are all hand sewn on, so I think it should hold up okay as long as its washed inside out.
