The day of the photo shoot, my friend and I headed into the city for the first part of the day. It was a pretty chilly day and we actually ran into a couple showers while traipsing through the city, so I was really glad I brought along my rain coat.

This outfit has a bit more of an edgy look than I typically go for. Instead of layering a crop top baggy sweater over my romper, I decided to pull on a light-wash denim shirt that I purchased years ago during my Hollister phase and tie it in the front. I thought it would be a nice way to break up the romper and wear it as a transitional piece while the weather is still too cold to breakout my summer dresses and floral prints. I also think that this look without the tights and boots would've just been an utter mess. However, the style of the tights and boots could always be replaced with either patterned tights or black boots. And as usual, the necklace really adds a little bit more to the whole look - I typically don't like leaving the house bare-necked, and if you haven't noticed, I love wearing my necklace outside the collar of my shirts.
