On a pH scale of 1-14, you'd be a 14 cause you're as basic as it gets.

Nerd alert. But yes, it's one of the best I've heard in association with Starbucks and being a basic biddy. And really, I couldn't help it. It was hot day, I'd shot 4 sets of photos for the blog, and I really wanted me a nice, cold Starbucks drink. Sue me. If you haven't tried their new summer teas from Teavana, you're doing something wrong with your life.

So this second look with GoodGirl Tanks & Tees is a bit overdue, but with travels and starting my career it's been a bit of a hectic month. However, this top is too hilarious not to share with you. If you're reading this and you're a fellow blogger, then you totally understand the top. It says "Failing to leverage my social media network". Yeah, right. That's all we bloggers do and we are hella annoying about it. Let's be real - our social network following is probably all we have going for us. #noshame #f4f #jk #itmakesmesadwhenyouunfollowmeoninstagram #ithoughtwewerefriends

Ya catch my drift? Check out more sardonic tees here. My next favorite? Celebrate me.

Introducing Closetclicks + Join the Contest!

Hey everyone! Today's post is a little bit earlier than usual, but I'm bringing you a fun collaboration with a new online site called Closetclicks! Closetclicks is an easy way for you to shop and create outfits all through one cohesive website. Whether you are putting together ideas for an upcoming event or simply creating some outfit inspiration to save for one of those days where you simply have "nothing to wear", Closetclicks is your answer! You can follow other accounts to see what they've created, and you can invite your friends to join so you can see what each other is coming up with! Below you can see two looks I came up with for some summer outfit inspiration :

Throw on a floppy hat, a cute cover-up top and super destroyed shorts for a cute day-at-the-beach look! I've also been eyeing those sandals for a little while now, and this is the perfect way to see just how many ways you can wear an item to make it a totally justifiable purchase :)

I work in an office setting where fashion comes first and expressing your personal style is part of my every day. Though I titled this outfit Summer Friday, it's essentially a look that I could wear everyday to work {sans the hat}. But for others, this could be a great casual Friday outfit or a weekend look, roaming the streets of NYC or hitting up Smorgasburg!

And of course, there is a contest involved!!

Beginning tonight, July 27th at 8PM EST, through Wednesday night, July 30th, Closetclicks invites you {and all your friends!} to design and publish your own outfit ideas to the Closetclicks feed. On each day, there will be a new theme posted on the homepage and updated on their Instagram and Twitter. In order to maintain eligibility, participants must publish at least one outfit a day to be considered a candidate for "best outfit of the day". Tonight's theme will be "Sunday Brunch"
One winner will be selected each day by the Closetclicks panel of judges, and this look will be posted on the Closetclicks homepage the following day. The best part? Each day, the winner will receive a giftcard valued at $25 to his/her choice of either LuluLemon or J.Crew!

Sign up at to join the fun! There is no additional sign up necessary aside from creating an account to enter the competition. All outfits published starting Sunday, July 26th 8PM EST through Wednesday, July 30th will be considered for the daily prize. Good luck and happy creating!!!

The Little White Dress

Summer lovin', had me a blast.

Summer is in full swing and though NYC has treated us pretty well this year, there are still those undeniably humid days that are the kind of summer days we all know so well. I've been really loving light, casual summer dresses because they are the perfect wear-to-work item {for me at least}. They're not too fabric-y where it's stifling during your morning commute, and it's so easy to grab a denim jacket or your favorite cardigan to throw on over it at the office. This one is a new favorite. I ordered it a few weeks back before I left for LA, so I didn't receive it until I got home last week. I was so sad I couldn't bring it along with me on vacation, but I've already worn it twice since getting back {anyone feeling a three-peat??}.

Little white dress could mean a lot of things to a lot of different people, but for me I think this dress truly embodies the idea of a little white dress. It doesn't try too hard and it doesn't make you look like you're trying too hard either. After all, the color white is probably the most tried and true color in the world, next to black. And next to it's counter part, white really is a color that doesn't try too hard at all.

And if we're being honest, I think white and denim is my favorite color combination {given that denim is actually a color, but in my books it totally is}.

And yes, this dress comes with some beautiful embroidery detail :) It's one of my favorite parts of the design!

Back to School with Abercrombie & Fitch

Today's outfit was created with apparel from Abercrombie & Fitch as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars by Crowdtap. Keep reading to see how I styled my pair of #BestFitEver jeans from A&F! #AFstylist
Though it's barely even August yet, I'm already starting to think of fall. Usually around this time or in the upcoming weeks, we begin to see all the stores shuffling their summer clothes to the sale rack and slowly bringing out new displays of their fall collection. Fall is probably my favorite season, and for me it brings back a lot of nostalgia and triggers those jittery feelings you get before the first day of school. The air always has a certain {fall scent} the eve of the first day of school. Do you know what I'm talking about? Even though I'm not going back to school this fall, it still puts a smile on my face as I reminisce and it's not exactly stopping me from doing some "back to school" shopping aka fall clothes shopping.

This look was very much inspired with back to school in mind. For me, staple pieces for a high school or college student are a good pair of jeans and a comfy sweater. It's about staying simple and feeling comfortable all while emulating a stylish vibe. I've been shopping Abercrombie & Fitch since my high school days {back then, everything had to have a moose on it or you were not cool}. One thing that has never changed about A&F after all these years though is their denim. It's comfortable, it's reliable, and it's figure-flattering. Literally - I could do squats in these jeans and I wouldn't mind because they're that comfortable.

I tried on literally every wash in this style {The A&F Alyssa Super Skinny High Rise} and finally settled for this pair because the perfect pair of dark rinse skinny jeans will do you no wrong. Ever. They are understated with no distressing and the seams are navy like the rest of the jean. Best of all, they hug your body without feeling like they're cutting into your skin. Like I said...squats.

Want your own pair to do squats in? Well luckily, Abercrombie & Fitch is currently having a denim promotion from now through August 2, 2014 {8/2/14}. All of their jeans will be $35 with this coupon: Buy a pair for yourself, buy a pair for your best friend cause they're the best jeans ever with the best fit ever and with them you will undoubtedly get the best butt ever. Capiche?

Chasing Summer

Let's give summer one last hurrah.

I start my big girl job this coming Monday so I thought this outfit and post title to be extremely fitting. Throughout college I was always one to be like "I can't wait to graduate, school sucks, work rocks, merh, merh, merh" {Wow Erica, please be more annoying}. Let's be real though, school does suck {no one likes studying don't even pretend} but it's also fantastic because when else in life do you get four years of waking up at 12pm because that's how you chose your class schedule, roughly 5 months of break in total, and lollygagging til the wee hours of morning with friends just because. But alas, life moves on, everyone gets old, and starting a career is inevitable. However, in our hearts I think each one of us will always be chasing summer.

So why did I choose this outfit to be the outfit for my lifetime summer finale? Because girl - ain't nobody gonna let you wear super destroyed cut-off shorts that end right below your behind to work. Like hellooo, scando! It's gonna be like middle school when you get sent to the nurse's office to change because your outfit was too "inappropro" for school, and you're left to choose from the nasty selection of lost and found items {more like lost and let never be found but oops you found it, should've chose a more conservative outfit this morning items}.

I've been vacationing in SoCal every year of my life pretty much since birth because much of my extended family lives here. Many of my friends joke that it's essentially my second home. It's definitely tough to say goodbye to the luxury of summering here with ample amounts of free time, but hey - all good things must come to an end. After all, everyone here is working now too {what I'm trying to say is, I'll have no frandz to play with anyways. Forever alone}. So cheers to 22 years of wonderful memories ♡ I'll be back for you.

Cue "Summertime Sadness" music. Catch ya on the flip side {from the real world} on Monday! Ciao ♥
