Yellow

"Look at the stars, look how they shine for you, and everything you do.

Yellow.

The color of happiness and joy, warmth and optimism, sunshine and stars. When my grandmother was younger, she knitted hundreds of sweaters - for her kids, her grandkids, and her friends. I still have sweaters from when I was a little girl that she made for me, and I refuse to let them go because of their sentiment. I hope to one day pass them on to my own kids and tell them that their great grandmother knit them many years ago and I wore them myself when I was a little girl. My mother also received a number of sweaters from my grandmother, and a few of those have end up in my possession like this yellow one. I put this sweater on the other day because I was thinking of my grandma. I still think of her often and the light and warmth that she brought into all of our lives. In her 90+ years on this earth, she brought all of us so much joy and happiness...she was our color yellow.
