Express Swimsuit Collection : A Review

With spring time finally rolling around mid-April {better late than never}, I bet all of us have at least one thing on our minds...summer days and beach-side vacations! With those beach bods aside {cause LET'S BE HONEST, I kinda let myself fall into the deep dark hole of hibernation}, I was super excited when Express reached out and asked if I'd like to review their new online swim collection! Express is one of those brands where it's kind of like a one-stop shop for all your wearable needs...they sell everything from suiting down to active wear and I was really beginning to wonder when swim was going to make an appearance.

The first thing that I noticed about their swim selection is how affordable it is. I typically hate bikini shopping for one of two reasons. First, for something with so little fabric that is only seasonably wearable, it costs an astounding amount of money. Plus, most of the time, us girls like to mix and match our bikinis so it's not like you can buy one set and call it a day. Luckily, this entire set is under $60, and Express has an entire assortment of pieces that mix and match well together, plus they've offered the same prints in different silhouettes to fit all body types and preferences!

Second, it's very difficult to gauge sizing when it comes to swim, but with the set I received I can happily say it fits true to size! Granted, I chose a style where cup size definitely doesn't come into play as much, but I've literally tried on bikini tops from other brands where I've sized down an entire size and up an entire size to no avail -- the fit was simply horrendous. I'm very pleased with the fit of this top! It's snug and extremely flattering, especially if you are a little less well-endowed in the chest department. The bottom, on the other hand, is a little tougher for me. Let's just say, if you have a curvier behind and you're not a huge fan of showing lots of cheek, these bottoms might not be for you.

Overall, I highly recommend you give their new swim collection a try! I'm more of a bikini top gal than a bikini bottom gal, and in that aspect I think Express has really nailed it. I would definitely pick up a few more tops to mix and match with bottoms I already own because at $29 a piece, you can't really go wrong! I don't know about you, but I'm in there like swim wear ;)
