Fin // A Greece Travel Diary {Part VII}

“I'm not in search of sanctity, sacredness, purity; these things are found after this life, not in this life; but in this life I search to be completely human: to feel, to give, to take, to laugh, to get lost, to be found, to dance, to love and to lust, to be so human.”

To be.

It's been a long time coming, but here is the final post to my Greece travel diary and maybe my favorite of the set. My friends and I decided to hire a photographer for a couple hours one morning so we could capture our time in Santorini and our memories of Greece for years to come, and I'm starting to think we should make a tradition out of this for each of our annual trips. I love these photos because they embody everything about us and our time in Greece. I look at these photos and I smile as the moments flood my memory -- the unending, perfect blue of the Aegean Sea, the heat of the summer sun in Greece beating down on us, the feel of the wind in our hair and the ocean spray on our feet as we whisked away to private islands, rooftop dancing in Imerovigli and dancing the nights away in Mykonos at our favorite bar: The Skandinavian, watching the sun dip below the horizon at our little spot by Paraportiani Church as the tunes of James Bay's Let it Go floated away into the distance. We laughed, we danced, and we loved; we found beauty in small places and got lost along the way; we felt everything that we could in the short time we had in Greece. We lived and we felt free -- we experienced what it was like to be so human.

Besos,
RC
