"People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they're not on your road doesn't mean they've gotten lost."
Different places.
Everyone in this life has an ideal picture painted out in their minds - a timeline of sorts with where they think they'll be or where they think they should be at certain points in their life. I've been having a quarter life crisis of sorts lately, feeling like I'm not sure I'm at where I had envisioned myself to be at this point in my life. It's easy to compare yourself to everyone around you: where they are and where they're going. But conversely, I've begun to think...not everyone's timeline is the same. Naturally, each person's timeline in life will be different since we don't actually know how long our respective timelines are. I think we're all inclined to measure our lives based on the generic timeline of living an average lifespan. However, realistically speaking, that probably won't be the case. So maybe at this exact point in time in our lives it may seem like you're three steps ahead or three steps behind, but in the grand scheme of things we're all exactly where we need to be -- traveling on different roads that intersect and divide in different places...finding our own fulfillment and happiness on our own, unique timelines.
