Petal Pink

Jacket (MICHAEL Michael Kors - old) | Top (Club Monaco - on sale here) | Pants (Rich and Skinny - similar here) | Scarf (Cynthia Rowley) | Shoes (Talbots - vintage) | Purse (Coach) | Watch (Michael Kors) | Bracelet (Pandora)

I can't believe it's already the first week of May! Time sure flies, but at least it's finally consistently feeling like perfect spring weather out. Stil looking pretty sickly in some of these photos, but at least my semester is finally over tomorrow as I finish up my exams. It's a pretty nostalgic and bittersweet time for me as many of my senior friends graduate from college and enter the real world, which is both daunting and exciting. Because I've been feeling a bit under the weather, I decided to contrast my own glum and lethargic mood with some bright colors! I used to be so afraid of wearing a bold pink color but lately I've been finding myself putting together outfits and ransacking my closet for a bright pink top to match. I found this one at Club Monaco last month and picked it up because it was exactly what I'd been searching for! If you're on the market for a bright pink tee that's perfect for spring, I highly recommend this one. Quality is great and for a loose, baggy top it's ironically slimming! I went with different shades of pink today and chose my light peachy pink Rich and Skinny jeans (they have a slight champagne sparkle up close, which I realized the following morning had shed all over my car seat!) and a beautiful pink/orange/yellow scarf from Cynthia Rowley. I topped it off with a structured white jacket from MK which is another piece that I've owned since HS and never wore (yes, I'm a clothing hoarder but I don't regret it!). Let me know in your comments below what some of your favorite spring time pairings are! Thanks for reading, and to my college girlies - good luck with finals!! My fashion tip for studying and taking exams - put some effort into what you wear. If you feel put together your mind will automatically feel more alert and ready to focus :)

  5. This outfit is put together so well Erica! I love everything from the vintage driving shoes to the gorgeous floral scarf for a pop of color. Good luck on your exams! I still have a few things from college in storage. I just can't seem to let them go but unlike you I can't remember the last time I wore them. :)

  6. Thanks Sabrina! I can't believe I've neglected this jacket for so long. I've owned it for at least 7 years and it's finally just starting to see time of day...haha but better late than never! :)

  7. Thanks Jess! I love vintage leather shoes because I feel like the leather quality along with the workmanship of the shoe were often much better than they are today. I am finally free from my exams, and they went pretty well thankfully :) I feel like that happens a lot though - you tell yourself to do some spring cleaning but as you start pulling the items out you get nostalgic and put them right back where you found them :) But you never know! I've found some great pieces from my mom's closet that she's kept for years.

  8. Glad you hear that your exams went well. Maybe I should raid my mom's closet but I think she's gotten rid of a lot of stuff in the last and most recent move. hehe
