Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday :)

So sorry I missed a post on Monday! My birthday just passed this weekend, so I had quite a busy Saturday and Sunday celebrating with family and friends. I do, however, still want to share with you what I wore for my birthday weekend! I wore this outfit out to a fancy brunch with a few of my closer friends on Sunday and yes, my brunch wishes came true - I got to sip on a mimosa while wearing a sparkly outfit. I've been saving this jacket for a special occasion, and what better day to wear it out than a birthday? I fell in love with the swirly sequined design, and to be quite honest it reminds me of the sky from Van Gogh's Starry Night painting. I also really love the subtle leather details that are on the trim of the jacket.
Since the jacket is more on the cropped side, I paired it with a drop waist dress whose skirt is leather. Though the jacket is already sequined, an all black pairing felt a little too drab, so the very minimal crystals that are sewed onto the body of the dress were the perfect touch to add a little kick. Plus, all the different textures add more interest. It's too cold now to go bare-legged, so a little trick for the cold weather days when you don't want to go with a thicker opaque black stocking is to layer a nude stocking underneath your sheer black stocking for extra warmth without losing the sheer black effect!
