Hey everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful, beautiful weekend :)
One of the reasons I love being from the East Coast is the deep appreciation you grow to have for each season. Yes, I won't deny that California is a beautiful place with perfect weather almost all year round and the undeniable palm trees that just sucker you in....but you will never really know that amazing feeling when winter finally becomes spring and you know you've successfully braved another cold winter in order to enjoy the awakening of spring blossoms and balmy weather.
I figured there was no more an appropriate time than now to finally break out these floral paneled silk shorts I bought at the end of last summer. By then I didn't have much chance to wear them and they haven't been seasonally appropriate until now. They do remind me a bit of silk pajama bottoms, but that's what makes them the perfect shorts to feminize and elevate into a chic, daytime outfit.
Though I do already own an off-white blazer, I've been searching for one that was a true white with longer lapels for a more streamlined look. I've found while pairing many outfits that I was lacking this basic from my wardrobe. Luckily, I found this one on the sale rack at Aéropostale for only $14, so I know I won't mind wearing it around super casually without the fear of staining it beyond repair (my other blazer was much more of an investment piece!) and I also love the cut and feel.
Since I styled the blazer today for a daytime look, tune in on Thursday to see how I carried this blazer over for a dressier, evening-out look! Picking closet basics is key to building a wholesome wardrobe, so I always love to pick up new tips and tricks to diversify my wardrobe through rotating the staples :)

Thanks so much for reading!!

Those shorts are actually amazing and I love them paired with the blazer!! I wouldn't normally gravitate towards those, but I think now I may have to keep my eye out.
