Olive You

"I am the dark and I am the light.
I am the moon and I am the starless night sky.
Fall in love with all that I am or please,
do not fall in love with me at all."
{Christopher Poindexter}

Going back to my roots.

Starting this blog I was very much focused around mixing and matching high end pieces with low end pieces. Journeying along as a style blogger, I've found that the desire to own nicer and more expensive things grows as the people you surround yourself with {virtually speaking} are constantly barraging you with all the nice things that they own. I'm not saying that's a bad thing because hey, if you got it flaunt it and if you can afford it then by all means. But realistically speaking, as a girl in her early 20s, I won't be snatching up the next it bag with each season that comes, and the shoes that I walk in will probably never be worth half of my bi-weekly paycheck. My point is though, that you don't necessarily need to drop $3000 on a handbag and $800 on a pair of shoes to pull together a nice outfit because style goes beyond the price tag. I've put together this outfit with some of my favorite tried and true pieces from my closet, and it adds up to under $100 {minus the sunnies, which were leant to me by Ditto and the bag which belongs to my sister}. I've been thinking about starting a new series on here, sort of like a looks for less or looks under x amount of dollars. If that's something you guys would be interested in, please let me know in the comments below!
