"It is in the nature of things that joy arises in a person free from remorse."
No regrets.
It's something I learned from my sister. My sister is truly my best friend. We grew up two years apart, completely different personalities, but the older we got the closer we became. My sister is organized, a stickler for rules, extremely logical, meticulous, and someone who plans ahead. I, on the other hand, am the complete opposite. My mess is my organization {seriously, when I clean and reorganize my room, I can't find anything because nothing is where it's "supposed to be" anymore}. Rules are generally "bendable" as long as breaking them won't get you in any serious trouble {I make for a horrible counselor at camps because I'm more about befriending kids than enforcing rules}. I think more with my heart than I do with my head, I have much less patience than she does when it comes to doing tedious work, and I love the thrill of the last minute rush {I literally run out the door every morning, while she'll give herself a full hour and a half to get ready for work}. Nonetheless, she's taught me a lot of things from being who she is. One thing was to never have any regrets. Own up to your choices in the past, do what you want with the future, set your mind on a goal and never deter from that path.
