Hey everyone, and a very happy Monday to you all! Oh, and also happy November! Can't believe how quickly the fall season is passing us by. We had an unseasonably warm Saturday this past weekend, so I decided to celebrate the great weather with some bright pink pants that are very reminiscent of spring and summer. Whenever I wear bright pieces like this, I like to tone it down with a bunch of neutrals while still tying all the hues together. The jeweled details on the collar of this sweater went perfectly with the pink of my pants, and I happily got the chance to break out my silver pumps once again to match the gunmetal details of the beadwork. How do you pair your bright pieces? I'd love to hear your tips and tricks!
Thanks for reading, and I'll see you all on Thursday!
XOXO,
E ♥

I think this might be one of my favorite looks from you. I love the bright with the neutrals, I've been wearing darker or neutral colors lately so some brights is much needed. I must ask, how did you get the bright lips so perfectly? It's gorgeous and matches the jewels and pants so well! Hope you had a great weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteOh I'm loving you look, so fresh! :)

Thanks so much Christine! I totally agree, but whenever it's chilly out I always seem to gravitate towards darker and muted tones. As for the bright lips, I used MAC's Kissable Lipcolor in Scandelicious. It's a bright raspberry pink color, but mostly the color payoff came from the formulation. I think their Kissable Lipcolor's are always part of their limited edition collections because I tried looking for it on their website, and they don't have them. But in general, I've found that a "liquid" lipstick, aka it looks like a lipgloss, but it's completely opaque when you put it on like a lipstick usually is, has much better color payoff than lipstick. Plus, it's a lot more hydrating! Hope that helps :) Enjoy your week!! xx

I don't have any tips or tricks I guess... everything comes from my head. I just picture something together and mostly it even works in real life, haha. when it doesn't I just change my game plan and pick something else. anyway, bright pink pants with light and neutral pieces next to them seems to be a wonderful plan. I like it and it's definitely worth a try! oh and I miss wearing shoes outside! :D

Thanks Yi-chia :) xx
ReplyDeleteHaha, that's usually how I plan out outfits too :) The biggest problem only strikes when all the outfits you imagined end up looking better in your mind than in reality...lol. But thanks! I'd love to see your take on it if you do try it out :) Maybe when it gets warmer for you though! xx

I love wearing bright colours even during the fall and winter because it really helps to cheer me up on even the gloomiest days! I adore this shade of pink on you, you wear it so well as usual! And that collar is fabulous :P Once again, if I had a chance to raid your closet, I would want to take all of it ;)
