Hi there! Happy fabulous Monday :)
I'm super excited to be sharing this look with you today because I finally, finally got my hands on a pair of camouflage skinnies that I adore. A bit late to the game, but hey - that's what happens when you're extremely picky and particular about buying those stand out pieces. So even though it's finally spring, I guess I'm still stuck in the lull of the winter blues. It's weird, I've never been much of a navy person until this year when I realized just how much navy I've been wearing! Keeping a fashion blog sure makes you a lot more aware of the color palettes you gravitate towards on the regular.
For me, a pair of camouflage bottoms gives off a tremendous amount of "cool girl" factor. Therefore, I wanted to feminize the look but also play up the deep navy tones, so I chose a sparsely embellished top with a plunging neckline (yes - this is plunging for my standards!). I threw on a pretty crystal necklace that fell beautifully with the neckline of this top, but streamlined the whole look with a long-lapeled blazer that has a more masculine feel. I love to mix feminine pieces with the unexpected, and I've found that this is the essence behind a lot of my pairings.
P.S. Was anyone else completely sold on these jeans with the zipper detail on the inside? Because I was!

ReplyDeleteThanks Christina!! I found them on sale recently so I was super excited! I don't even remember seeing them when they were out full price, but then again our Zara's here don't have nearly as much stuff as the ones in the city!! xx
