Quilted Leather on Rainy Days

Hi there! Hope you had a beautiful weekend!

Our weekend here on the east coast was full of rain and dreary weather. Nevertheless, I took advantage of the few spots of dry(ish) weather to get outside and snap some blog photos! A little drizzle never hurt anyone :) I scored this beautiful leather jacket this month for nothing less than an amazing deal, and what I loved most about it was how much it reminded me of the Rockstud line from Mr. Maison Valentino. It's a beautiful quilted mauve-purple leather with lots of edge and zippered detail, plus a warm inner lining (I am a total sucker for jacket/blazer linings. Is this weird?)! If you've been following me for awhile, you'll know that I love to juxtapose edgy with girly, so the perfect pairing for me was a bejeweled neckline sweater layered over a button down collared shirt against this jacket.

I've also really been loving the look of skinny jeans with a zipper that I can flare open just a bit, topped off with a solid pair of pumps. I think it's such an effortlessly easy way to dress up a look with just a little bit more class and edge.

P.S. Make sure to check back Thursday for a new post! I will be switching back to my regular Monday/Thursday posting schedule now that my blog collaboration with the girls have ended.

Leather Jacket: Rebecca Taylor | Sweater: J.Crew (on sale + 30% off!) | Top: Old Navy (old) | Jeans: J Brand (old) - similar here | Pumps: Aldo - similar here | Clutch: Forever 21

Thanks so much for reading!!

  1. I love those pants! I have a similar pair with zippers at the ankle but they're shorter, I like that yours were long enough to unzip and flare out over your heels. And of course fabulous find with the leather jacket!
