The most courageous act is still to think for yourself...aloud.
{Coco Chanel}

There's only around four weeks in a year where I can blog solely holiday, festive outfits and it's be totally acceptable -- that time is now. I'm not much of a rock-the-bold-red-lip girl any other time of the year than December, but that doesn't mean that I'm not a believer in the impact of a good red lip. I took advantage of one off day of beautiful weather to share a holiday-inspired outfit that would on any other day be totally impractical for the East Coast weather {you LA gals can fa la la la la through February in this outfit}. Ever since I started working in the city, I've found myself wearing less and less color it's {almost} a shame. However, it's also sparked my new found appreciation for a good white shirt. I've been eyeing this one ever since I saw it on Damsel in Dior, but never ended up springing on the purchase since I'm not a huge online shopper when it comes to clothing. But I stumbled across the last one on the sale rack {which so happened to be my size} and I decided it was fate. I think the cut of this top is so interesting and so perfect. It's a bit on the shorter side, with just the slightest high-low hem and my favorite sort of boyfriend fit. I decided to step out of the box and created a low key "glam" look, and I'm kind of dying a little on the inside over the retro kick the vintage car adds to these photos.

I'm also super excited to announce that I've found the destination for dainty yet affordable rings of superb quality. I've always been a little put off by the price tags that come attached with gold stacking rings because let's be real...$200 dollars for gold wire that you soldered together? Girl, do I look like I roll around in a pigsty of Benjamin's? However, Fresh Tangerine has the rings I've been looking forever for but so reasonably priced. Instead of solid gold they're gold filled, which means they'll last much longer than gold plated jewelry but probably not the forever you'll get with solid gold. However, I'll take the 3-15 year bargain that gold fill gets me if I'm paying 10% of the price! All their pieces are handmade, and so far so good! I've been wearing mine almost every day and I do wash my hands with them, and I've experienced no issues with tarnishing or turning my fingers green. Lucky for you, I'm giving away a set of three stacking rings from Fresh Tangerine to one lucky winner! The giveaway will be open from today through 12/11/14, and it is open internationally!
