"Here's to all the places we went. And here's to all the places we'll go. And here's to me, whispering again and again and again and again: I love you."
{John Green}

I'm not a believer in superstition. As part of Asian culture, there are tons and tons of superstitions that have come to be. Even in American culture we have many superstitions: Friday the 13th being unlucky, it being bad luck to walk underneath a ladder, etc. Another one is Groundhog's Day. Though it is technically a national holiday, I totally think it's bogus and superstition...I mean come on -- whether or not the groundhog sees its shadow depends on the weather that day, and I don't believe the weather on one particular day of the year will determine whether or not we will have another six weeks of winter or not. Unfortunately, this year it looks like Mr. Groundhog got his way. He saw his shadow and yes, we are still covered in a blanket of snow.

But as you can see, that's not really stopping me from breaking free from my usual routine of black, white, grey, navy, camel, and more black. I felt like it was finally time to lighten things up around here a bit, which means I'll be wearing the only other color I like besides the ones mentioned above: blush. It's quite the diverse color, and like all the neutrals I listed, it really passes during any season as an acceptable color to be wearing. In the winter it's a fresh pop of color against the white snowy backdrops, and it fits in while still hinting at spring. I have the same sentiment towards boy jeans: they reveal just a little too much skin when it's full-blown harsh winter weather outside and they most likely get neglected during the cold winter months. But today I'm bringing you a different way to mix it into your #ootd while still staying bundled up, fully layered, and seasonally appropriate.
