Mustard Polka Dots + Everyday Crochet

Top (Madewell) | Shorts (Old Navy) | Earrings (Aldo) | Necklace (Dogeared) | Watch (MK) | Heart Ring (Target) | Love Ring (Ariella Collection)| | Shoes (Vintage)

I haven't posted an outfit of mine since I was in California, so I figured it was about time for that :) It's finally starting to get a bit cooler outside, but it's at that perfect medium where the weather is absolutely gorgeous out. I love this kind of weather for mixing different season pieces from my wardrobe to create a truly transitional outfit between the seasons.

I chose two things that are huge this fall in everyday fashion - mustard and pullover knit/crochet sweaters. I love love love polka dots, so when my mom came home with these shorts I was thrilled and immediately had to wear them while I still had the chance :) I think the mustard with the polka dots is super cute and very preppy (I also know for a fact that Madewell was selling a pair nearly identical to these!). I paired it with a slouchy crochet sweater in a cream color to match the polka dots while keeping it casual and laid back. When you have fluctuating temperatures throughout the day, you want to make sure you're not too hot or too cold, so shorts with a sweater is the perfect combo! And this is just one way you can do that combo without sacrificing your fashion dignity.

I kept my accessories minimal except for my earrings, which was to add to the vintage feel with my shoes and also for another small pop of color (I love the turquoise with the mustard!). And I just have to mention, I am currently LOVING my two rings from Target and Nordstrom's Ariella Collection. My sister and I got the same ones and we wear it as a pair together. I saw the "love" ring on my friend and I thought it was so pretty and dainty I had to have it :)

I think that's it for today's post! If you like my nails, check back tomorrow for a Sunday Love post where I'll do a mini step-by-step tutorial of how I accomplished the look! Thanks for all the continued support and please share my page if you like it!!

XOXO,
E ♥
