Emerald City

Sweater (TJ Maxx) | Top (Walter) | Skirt (Joe Fresh) | Belt (Forever 21) | Shoes (Enzo Angiolini) | Necklace (Dogeared)

Hello again! Today's outfit is all about Pantone's Color of the Year for 2013: emerald green! It's not really a color I go for very often because it's not a color I'd purchase in a top, but I thought it was a nice skirt color, especially for the wool-blend style skirts that are perfect for fall/winter. I used it as an accent and muted it with black and just some gold accents. I recently purchased this sweater, and was originally attracted to it because it reminds me of the structured tweed jackets that are very in right now and very much so inspired by Chanel. However, I loved that it was in sweater material and a bit oversized with some gold strand detailing in the sweater (hard to see on camera). I chose to pair it with a top with sequined panel detailing and a gold studded belt so the outfit didn't start looking old and grandma-y.

I will probably do another outfit sometime soon with the same sweater but dressed down with a pair of pants since I know for a lot of my readers, my obsession with skirts isn't very helpful for everyday wear to school. However, I do hope you enjoyed this look and as always, thanks for reading!!

XOXO,

  1. You are so cute! I love the emerald green skirt, it's such a great pop of color and perfect for Spring, let alone it being the Pantone color of the year :)
