Monday blues are over, but tomorrow is a new day which means another day to create art! Fashion art that is :) This was a skirt I loved the moment I saw it (I don't know how many times I've said this about something, but I think that's my downfall when I go shopping...I fall in love with EVERYTHING). I had been searching for the longest time for the perfect pleated maxi skirt, and the fact that this came in a maroon was even better!
I paired it with a light teal paisley button down shirt, which was purchased from Macys years ago. I think this is a pretty unexpected combination, but the two colors off-set each other very well, and the maroon brings out the subtle purple hues in the paisley pattern. For me, fashion is always about doing something a little unexpected - that's what makes fashion fun and your style truly you. Of course there's a lot of tops you could pair with this skirt, such as a plain/lace tank or tee, some sort of vest, a cropped graphic tee, etc. The possibilities are endless! But I personally love to play with color and patterns, and think out of my normal mental fashion box, as how I picture it.
I hope you all like this outfit, and don't get too used to these great pictures, both in quality and aesthetics! They'll be short-lived, as we only shot three outfits on Sunday. So enjoy them while they last, and I'll catch you all tomorrow!
XOXO,
